Gondwanaland is never mentioned in isolation in the novellas, but always in the same breath as Atlantis, Africa, Mu, and other places quite separate in terms of geography and the time at which they existed or are supposed to have existed. Since it is never established which, if any, of these is the home the ancient colonists came from, picking the one with the most scientific name isn't really being any more precise. --
