Had she?

I thought Silk was upset for exactly the reason that Horn talks about:
Hyacinth had deceived Silk by acting cute and helpless, like Mucor's lynx.
 Her being able to subdue the pilot unassisted is the *evidence* that she
deceived him.  He hates being made a fool of and he hates wondering
whether he loves the real Hyacinth or an illusion.  Of course, other
depressing things are happening (some of which would only depress a
saint).
