Rather Hellenic or Nordic than Middle Eastern, I think.
The enfolding of the impulse to address the divine (which Silk feels and
expresses in his *false* religion) by the real divinity of the Outsider
mirrors the "baptising" of european native pantheism by invading
monotheistic Christianity
