Aside from the well-known "The Music Man" reference, there's
another thing that might be of interest ... a subtle joke=20
known to some comix fans, perpetrated by C.C. Beck and the
Dell comix group back in the '50s, when they created CAPTAIN
Marvel. BILLY Batson, in the pages of WHIZ Comics, would say=20
the magic word "Shazam!" to become the Captain with a bolt
of lightning that usually included the sound effect: BANG.

Yes, Beck confirmed years ago that this was deliberate...
