" Wolfe worked over the New Sun books FOUR times before initial
publication."
Does anyone know if any of these earlier drafts still exist and/or if Mr.
Wolfe has designated a final repository for his works yet? Knowing our luck
he's probably destroyed them, but just think what a close analysis of this
putative quartet might reveal.
Also, while I'm temporarily delurking, would like to recommend Wolfe's "From
the Cradle," in the latest Year's Best Fantasy edited by David Hartwell.
It's the tale of another brown book, with three embedded stories a la PEACE,
and many of you will surely enjoy it.
