I should have said in my previous post that Swallow
has FIVE visitors--Chenille is also present, of
course. And she's unlike the others in being a person
who was naturally "designed" to be the Calde's heir,
but free from any such burden of destiny because she
was a woman and ignorant of her father's identity. A
perhaps significant contrast--she has no programming
to follow.
