Someone mentioned rereading some Wolfe with his love of Tolkein in mind. I 
suggest that there is a good deal of Tolkein-esque stuff, Lupinized to be 
sure, in *The Devil in a Forest.* Wolfe's essay on Tolkein is virtually a 
summary of some of the things presented there.
