Otherwise, FWIW, I agree with you in many areas - except I do not accept the
literal identity of the planets.
I always thought "trees eating trees" was a poetic way of talking about
arboreal parasitism. Hmmmm.
But I just read "Silhouette" again - it has apportation, something very like
the notules, and interestingly, motile, fighting, plants . . . .
