I've read "Taliesin", the first of his Aurthurian cycle. It was excruciatingly
bad. Simply bad use of language. Normally I'm quite uncritical on a first
reading and if I get through a book I want to read the rest. In this case I
couldn't, and still can't, bring myself to buy any of the others. "This is not
a book to be set aside lightly..."
That said I have also read "Empyrion" and I think I was surprised that it wasn't
quite so bad. However I don't think I've ever reread it which, given that I'll
read almost anything several times, suggests that I was deeply unimpressed.
